Uplift Capture is available on Apple iOS devices that support stable native 240 frames-per-second (fps) video capture.

General Compatibility Guidance

Uplift Capture is designed to work on:

  • iPhones and iPad Pros capable of stable native 240 fps slow-motion capture

  • Devices running a current version of iOS

  • Two devices of the same model for best synchronization and results

However, Apple’s camera sensors and image-signal-processing (ISP) pipelines change between generations and between base vs Pro models. As such, while new models often do work for Uplift Capture use, these new devices are not officially supported until validated by Uplift.

Devices We Have Extensively Tested

The following devices have been explicitly tested and validated for use with Uplift Capture:

iPhone

iPad

iPhone 17

iPad Pro (5rd Gen)

iPhone 15

iPad Pro (3rd Gen)

iPhone 13 Pro

iPad Pro (2rd Gen)**
(note: this device does not support checkerboard calibration)

iPhone 13

iPhone 12

iPhone 11

These devices are considered fully supported except where noted above for specific features.

Newer and Untested Devices

Newer iPhones and iPad Pros that advertise 240 fps slow-motion capture are expected to work, but are considered unsupported until validated. In some cases, new models may require app updates to account for changes in camera timing or synchronization behavior.
